Fraser leads Spartans Past the Knights
The MiraCosta College women’s volleyball team delivered an impressive all-around performance on Friday night, earning a 3–1 victory over San Diego City.

The MiraCosta College women's volleyball team delivered an impressive all-around performance on Friday night, earning a 3–1 victory over San Diego City (25–14, 28–30, 25–8, 25–13). The win showcased the Spartans' depth, poise, and balance across the court.
Freshman Chloe Fraser powered the MiraCosta attack with a team-high 16 kills and added two solo blocks for 18 total points. Feagaiga Naotala was dominant at the net as well, finishing with 12 kills, two service aces, and two blocks while hitting an efficient .323.
Setter Millie Miller orchestrated the offense beautifully, dishing out 45 assists and keeping San Diego City off balance with nine service aces and two blocks of her own. Mikayla Negrette added 10 kills, and Julia Hamson contributed four kills, two aces, and four blocks in a strong two-way effort.
Defensively, Abigale Glassett anchored the backcourt with a match-high 22 digs, while Willow Snow chipped in 17 digs and three aces to keep rallies alive. Camiela Ashley also made an impact off the bench with two kills and two blocks.
The Spartans improve to 11-8 and continue to build momentum as they push toward postseason play. MiraCosta returns to action next week looking to extend their winning form.
