On Friday the MiraCosta women's soccer team embarked on the longest road trip of the conference schedule, driving out to El Centro, California. After 90 minutes the Spartans left with a 2-0 win and three consecutive road wins. The MiraCosta roster is showing resilience, finding a way to win in difficult situations.
The defensive line looked strong against the Desert Warriors. Mylie Tinoisamoa, Brooklyn Fritz, Aaliyah Arce and Martina Ertz were formidable in the clean sheet performance. The back four added to the strong presence of goal keeper Monica Martinez helped the Spartans finish the night matchwith the victory.
With the win, the Spartans improve to 5-1 heading in to the cross town rivalry against Palomar College on Tuesday.
