On Tuesday the MiraCosta women's soccer team cruised to an impressive 8-0 win against the Miramar College Jets. With the win the Spartans improve to 5-4-2 overall and 3-2-2 in conference.
McKenzy Schroeder and Kassandra Zafra both scored two goals and Liliana Prieto, Lisette Bahena, Monseratte Ayala and Alejandra Casillas all added one. Bahena also contributed two assists.
Jannette Montanez anchored the defense and played all 90 minutes in goal and recorded the shutout.
The Spartans are next in action on Friday at Grossmont for a 1PM kickoff.
