The 2017 women's soccer season for MiraCosta College started with a strong win against Orange Coast College. The Spartan roster lists 17 newcomers and four returners but the lack of college experience didn't hold them back. MiraCosta played confident soccer for 90 minutes and positioned themselves to score late in the game (70th minute) to take the lead and secure the win. The goal was scored by Nicole Marcynyszyn, a freshman midfielder. Other contributions were made by Savannah Trevino, Jenna Heatherly and Alexandria Stewart.
The Spartans return to action on Friday, September 1st at home against Saddleback College. Kickoff is at 3:30pm.
