Spartans Fall In Close Match

The women's soccer team at MiraCosta College gave up an early goal but then played the visiting Saddleback College Gauchos to an even game for the last 87 minutes.  Despite a flurry of chances late for the Spartans they couldn't put one in the net and finished with a 0-1 result.  Perhpas the best opportunity the Spartans had was a long shot from Peyton Brittain that hit the cross bar and then was deflected away to safety.

Vanessa Llamas made many important saves in goal for the Spartans which kept them within the one goal deficit. 

MiraCosta is home again on Tuesday September 6th at 3:30pm against Irvine Valley College.
