Bio
Coach Wes Perryman joins the MiraCosta family following a breakout debut season as the head coach at Grossmont College. In just one year, he transformed the Griffins into a state contender, guiding them to a 24-6 overall record and an 11-3 conference mark while making a deep run in the 3C2A State Playoffs. His leadership quickly elevated the program’s standard of excellence, and he now brings that same credibility, energy, and vision to MiraCosta College Women’s Basketball.
Before beginning his coaching career, Coach Perryman starred as a player at Boise State University (Division I) after transferring from junior college, where he graduated Top 3 all-time in scoring, earned Player of the Year, First Team All-Conference, and All-American honors. Following his collegiate career, he played professionally in Germany and China, gaining valuable international experience that continues to shape his coaching philosophy today.
