With each game the women's basketball team at MiraCosta continues to improve. While improving, the Spartans also keep winning. With a convincing 69-49 win over Rio Hondo College MiraCosta improves to 7-2, the programs best start in recent history. In the win the Spartans received notable contributions from a number of players. The balanced scoring was led by Britney Jarvis (17), Teya Searles (12), Colleen Murphy (11) and Breanna Morales (11).
In addition to the offensive output MiraCosta showed their ability to defend their opponents as well. The Spartans held the Roadrunners under fifty points for the game and only eight in the fourth quarter.
