Spartans Earn Important Win In Conference
It was Spirit Night at MiraCosta on Friday and the men's soccer team knew it.
It was Spirit Night at MiraCosta on Friday and the men's soccer team knew it. The Spartans played inspired soccer from the kick off and was first to strike with a goal by Miguel Aguilera. Soon after the visiting San Bernardino Valley College men's soccer team answered with a goal of their own evening the score at 1-1. In the second half the Spartans took a one goal lead on a goal by freshman Victor Atide who now has a goal in each of the last two matches. The game winning goal was assisted by Eddie Franco.
The Spartans, now in second place in the Pacific Coast Athletic Conference, will take on Palomar College Tuesday at home before beginning the final eight games of PCAC double round robin play. MiraCosta is 4-1-1 in the last six game and continues to show improvement as the year progresses.
