Buzzer Beater Helps Spartans Take Down Orange Coast

Despite trailing at halftime and being down by one with just seconds to go, the MiraCosta men's basketball team found a way to win.  While the victory was a team effort, Logan Ardent deserves a little more credit after hitting a game winning shot that beat the buzzer from 70 feet away.  The final score was 58-56. The exciting ending gives the Spartans a five game winning streak leading into their next game against San Diego Mesa College

Freshman forward Logan Mason led MiraCosta in scoring with 13 points, shooting 5-7 from the floor. Travis Snider added ten points and Aubrey Thompson and Ardent both finished the game with eight points.  Logan Ardent led the team in assists (7) and steals (3) and. Snider led the squad in total rebounds with 12.

The Spartans are next in action on Wednesday against San Diego Mesa at home.
