Snider's Shooting Pushes Spartans Past Imperial Valley College
On Saturday the MiraCosta College men's basketball team was hot, and it started with sophomore Jesse Snider. Snider made his presence felt immediately when he entered the game by hitting a three. That was only the beginning. He finished with 28 points, shooting 9-14 from the floor and 8-12 from behind the three point line. In total, the Spartans made 15 three point shots, shooting 54% from behind the line.
MiraCosta raced to the victory by a final score of 100-60. Other Spartans that scored double digits include Travis Snider (14), Aubrey Thompson (12) and Makai Caruth (12). Logan Ardent and Elijah Samdahl scored 9 and 8 respectively.
Travis Snider led the Spartans with nine rebounds and Ardent finished with 10 assists and five steals.
With the win MiraCosta improves to 2-1 in conference leading in to games with Grossmont and Southwestern this week.
