On Wednesday the MiraCosta College men's basketball team travelled to Grossmont College for a conference game. After leading at half, foul trouble and a thin bench led to a 70-77 loss for the Spartans.
Buddha Boyd led the way with an impressive scoring night finishing with 37 points. Boyd connected on 18-19 free throws and also scored nine field goals. Aashad Womack contributed seven points and eight rebounds. Kamien Cederlind added seven points including one three-point shot.
The Spartans continue conference play on Friday at Palomar College at 5pm.
