With the pair of victories, the Spartans improve to a perfect 8-0 in conference play with just two weeks remaining, firmly in control of the title race.
The Spartans once again showcased their depth and balance across all five courts. Leading the way, the top pair of Hailey Heflin and Kiara Keibel delivered another composed performance, continuing to solidify their standing as one of the top duos in the state. Throughout the lineup, MiraCosta received strong play from key contributors including pairs Daniela Szajkowski/Chara Wondercheck, Gwen Mitchell/Kylie Osborne, Savai Kilaulani/Claire Komadina and Willson Snow/Emily Musolf. Their consistent production on the all five courts that has become a hallmark of this team's success.

The victories add to what has been an impressive résumé built over the past several months. MiraCosta owns two wins over Grossmont and a key conference victory over San Diego Mesa, while also picking up statement non-conference wins against Santa Barbara City, Long Beach City, and Moorpark. The Spartans have further proven themselves against higher-level competition with wins over four-year programs including Vanguard, Hope International, and Arizona Christian.
With the conference championship now squarely in their sights, the Spartans are also keeping their eyes on a larger prize. MiraCosta is positioning itself for a deep postseason run, with the ultimate goal of capturing a state championship in May at Mt. San Antonio College.
On the national stage, MiraCosta continues to gain recognition, currently holding the No. 4 spot in the latest Juco Beach Volleyball National Rankings. The Spartans are also trending toward a top seed in the Southern Region, a reflection of both their consistency and strength of schedule.
As the regular season enters its final stretch, MiraCosta remains focused on maintaining its high standard of play. With depth, experience, and momentum on their side, the Spartans are emerging as one of the premier teams in the state—and a legitimate contender for a championship run.
